Applicable Systems
IndraDrive
Symptoms
The IndraDrive reports a motor overheat fault. The motor temperature sensor exceeded the protection threshold.
Possible Causes
- Motor ambient temperature exceeding the rated maximum
- Motor ventilation blocked by dust or debris accumulation
- Motor running at excessive load for an extended period
Troubleshooting Steps
- Step 1: Clean the motor ventilation passages and cooling fins
Airflow through the motor is unobstructed - Step 2: Reduce the motor load to within the rated thermal capacity
Motor temperature drops below the threshold - Step 3: Verify the motor temperature sensor is functioning correctly
Temperature sensor reads accurately
How to Reset
To reset: Allow the motor to cool below the threshold, then reset and restart.
