Symptoms
Restricted compressor. The compressor is mechanically restricted and cannot turn freely.
Possible Causes
- Compressor mechanical seizure
- Liquid refrigerant slugging causing mechanical damage
Troubleshooting Steps
- Step 1: Check if the compressor turns freely when de-energized
Compressor is seized - Step 2: Replace the compressor if mechanically restricted
New compressor operates normally
How to Reset
To reset: Replace the restricted compressor, then reset the controller.
