Symptoms
Compressor locked. The compressor rotor is locked and cannot start.
Possible Causes
- Compressor bearing seizure
- Compressor winding short causing electromagnetic lock
Troubleshooting Steps
- Step 1: Check the compressor startup current
Current spike indicates locked rotor - Step 2: Replace the locked compressor
New compressor starts normally
How to Reset
To reset: Replace the locked compressor, then reset the controller.
