Symptoms
The PLC reports a DRAM error. The controller cannot reliably access working memory.
Possible Causes
- DRAM chip hardware failure
- Memory corruption from electromagnetic interference
Troubleshooting Steps
- Step 1: Power-cycle the PLC and check if the error clears
If 0017 persists, DRAM is defective - Step 2: Check the power supply quality and grounding
Stable power and proper grounding are confirmed
How to Reset
To reset: Power-cycle the PLC. If the error persists, the DRAM hardware is defective.
