Symptoms
The Eaton 9395 UPS displays fault code F06 indicating over temperature. The internal temperature of the UPS has exceeded the safe operating limit. The UPS will reduce battery charging or transfer to bypass to reduce internal heat generation.
Possible Causes
- Ambient room temperature above 40C specification limit
- Cooling fan failure or airflow obstruction
- Air filter clogged reducing cooling airflow
- Inverter component degradation causing excessive heat generation
Troubleshooting Steps
- Step 1: Check UPS display for F06 and note internal temperature reading
