  2. Step 2: Check the braking resistor continuity with an ohmmeter
    Resistance matches the nameplate value within tolerance
  3. Step 3: Verify the braking resistor wiring and connector
    Wiring is intact, connector is seated properly
  4. Step 4: If line voltage is high, install or adjust a voltage regulator
    Line voltage stabilizes within the acceptable range
