Symptoms

The AKD reports a phase sequence error. The input power phase sequence does not match the expected rotation direction.

Possible Causes

  • Input power phase sequence is reversed at the drive terminals
  • Motor wiring phase sequence incorrect for the desired rotation
  • Phase sequence changed during maintenance without correction

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. Step 1: Check the input power phase sequence with a phase rotation tester
    Phase sequence is incorrect
  2. Step 2: Swap any two input power leads to correct the sequence
Phase rotation tester shows correct direction
  3. Step 3: Verify the motor rotation direction after correction
Motor rotates in the correct direction

How to Reset

To reset: Correct the phase sequence, then reset the fault and restart.
