Symptoms
The boiler reports a burner motor overheat. The combustion fan motor temperature exceeds the limit.
Possible Causes
- Fan motor bearing failure
- Inadequate ventilation around the motor
- Continuous high-speed operation
Troubleshooting Steps
- Step 1: Check the fan motor bearings
Bearings are in good condition - Step 2: Verify adequate ventilation
Air flow around the motor is sufficient - Step 3: Verify the duty cycle is within the motor rating
Operation is within limits
How to Reset
To reset: Allow the motor to cool, then clear the alarm.
