Symptoms
The circuit is open or has a wiring fault. The control module cannot read the sensor or actuator signal.
Possible Causes
- Wiring open or connector disconnected
- Sensor or actuator internal failure
- Fuse for the circuit blown
Troubleshooting Steps
- Step 1: Check wiring continuity and connector seating
Wiring continuous and connector seated - Step 2: Test sensor or actuator resistance and operation
Component resistance within range - Step 3: Inspect and replace blown fuse if applicable
Fuse intact or replaced
How to Reset
To reset: Clear the DTC with a scan tool after repairing the circuit.
