Applicable Systems
OBD-II
Symptoms
The sensor signal voltage is above the expected maximum. The control module interprets this as a fault condition.
Possible Causes
- Sensor output too high due to internal failure
- Wiring short to voltage
- Signal circuit resistance open causing pull-up
Troubleshooting Steps
- Step 1: Measure sensor signal voltage at the control module
Voltage above expected maximum - Step 2: Check wiring for short to voltage
No short to voltage found - Step 3: Test sensor operation and replace if faulty
Sensor replaced or confirmed good
How to Reset
To reset: Clear the DTC after restoring the sensor signal to the valid range.
