Symptoms
A shift solenoid circuit has a fault. The transmission may not shift correctly or may enter limp mode.
Possible Causes
- Shift solenoid coil open or shorted
- Solenoid control circuit wiring faulty
- Solenoid mechanically stuck
Troubleshooting Steps
- Step 1: Test shift solenoid resistance and operation
Solenoid resistance within range - Step 2: Check solenoid control circuit wiring for continuity
Wiring has continuity - Step 3: Inspect solenoid for mechanical sticking
Solenoid moves freely
How to Reset
To reset: Clear the DTC after repairing or replacing the shift solenoid.
