Symptoms
The airbag warning light is on. The SRS module communication is lost, which may prevent airbag deployment. DTC U0223 is stored by a control module that lost communication with the Airbag module.
Possible Causes
- CAN bus wiring fault to SRS module
- SRS module power supply fault
- SRS module internal failure
- SRS connector under seat not seated
Troubleshooting Steps
- Step 1: Connect a diagnostic scanner and read all module DTCs to confirm U0223
