Symptoms
The blind spot monitoring may not function. Communication with a blind spot radar sensor is lost. DTC U0817 is stored by a control module that lost communication with the Blind Spot module.
Possible Causes
- CAN bus wiring to blind spot radar fault
- Radar power supply fault
- Radar internal failure
- Radar in rear bumper misaligned
Troubleshooting Steps
- Step 1: Connect a diagnostic scanner and read all module DTCs to confirm U0817

CAN high and low lines intact, 60 ohms across the bus - Step 3: Verify power and ground supplies to the affected module
