Symptoms
The drive has detected an internal error related to the CPU. This indicates a fault in the RAM, flash memory, or task execution within the drive's processor.
Possible Causes
- Internal CPU RAM fault
- Flash memory corruption
- Internal task scheduling fault
- Electromagnetic interference affecting CPU operation
Troubleshooting Steps
- Step 1: Turn off all sources of power to the drive (main power and control power)
Drive display goes completely blank - Step 2: Wait at least 10 seconds for all internal capacitors to discharge
Drive is fully powered down - Step 3: Re-apply power to the drive and check if the error clears
Drive powers up normally without INFE error - Step 4: If the error returns, remove control wiring from Logic, Analog, Relay, and Communication terminals one at a time to isolate potential noise sources
Error does not recur when the noise-inducing wiring is removed - Step 5: If the problem persists after isolating wiring, contact Schneider Electric Product Support for drive replacement
Drive is repaired or replaced under warranty
How to Reset
To reset: 1) Turn off ALL power sources. 2) Wait 10+ seconds. 3) Re-apply power. If INFE recurs, isolate control wiring. If still present, the drive needs replacement.
Frequently Asked Questions
