Possible Causes
- Encoder internal short
- Encoder wiring short
- Encoder component failure
Troubleshooting Steps
- Step 1: Check encoder current draw
Current within rated range - Step 2: Inspect encoder wiring for shorts
No short circuits - Step 3: Replace encoder if faulty
New encoder draws correct current
How to Reset
Reset via operator panel after encoder current is normal.
