Applicable Systems
KTP700 Comfort
Symptoms
Screen exhibits vertical color stripes or flickering horizontal lines during operation.
Possible Causes
- LVDS cable between mainboard and LCD panel partially unseated.
- Ambient temperature exceeding 50 C, causing LCD row driver overheating.
- Electromagnetic interference from nearby VFD or servo drive coupling into video signals.
Troubleshooting Steps
- Step 1: Power off, open the bezel, and reseat the LVDS flex cable with the locking tab.
Video is stable and uniform after 60 minutes of continuous operation. - Step 2: Measure ambient temperature at the HMI face with an infrared thermometer.
Temperature is within 0 C to 50 C operational range. - Step 3: Route the LVDS cable away from motor power cables; add ferrite core if needed.
Flickering ceases even when servo drive is at 100% load.
How to Reset
Reseat the internal LVDS cable, verify environmental temperature, and shield video cabling from VFD interference.
