Symptoms
A sensor reading is outside expected range or the sensor circuit is open. The controller cannot maintain proper regulation.
Possible Causes
- Sensor element failed or degraded
- Wiring connection loose, corroded, or broken
- Sensor calibration drift beyond acceptable limits
Troubleshooting Steps
- Step 1: Check sensor resistance and voltage at the controller terminals
Readings within expected range - Step 2: Inspect wiring harness for continuity and corrosion
Wiring intact with no corrosion - Step 3: Replace sensor if readings are out of specification
New sensor reads correctly
How to Reset
To reset: Clear the fault code after replacing or recalibrating the sensor.
