Symptoms
The battery system reports a cell imbalance. The voltage difference between cells exceeds the tolerance.
Possible Causes
- Cell aging causing different capacity and voltage
- BMS balancing function not operating correctly
- Cell internal resistance variation
Troubleshooting Steps
- Step 1: Check individual cell voltages
Voltages are within the balancing tolerance - Step 2: Verify the BMS cell balancing function
Balancing operates correctly - Step 3: Replace degraded cells if imbalance is severe
Cells are balanced after replacement
How to Reset
To reset: Resolve the cell imbalance, then clear the alarm.
