Applicable Systems
Wonderware System Platform
Symptoms
The Wonderware System Platform reports that a graphic display window failed to load. The operator sees a blank or error screen instead of the expected process graphic.
Possible Causes
- The InTouch graphic file is missing from the deployment package or the path is incorrect
- The display references a missing or incompatible graphic symbol from an earlier version
- Insufficient memory on the client machine to render the complex display with embedded animations
Troubleshooting Steps
- Step 1: Check the deployment log to confirm the graphic file was deployed to the client
Deployment log shows the file was successfully deployed to the correct path - Step 2: Verify all referenced symbols exist in the symbol library version deployed on the client
All symbol references resolve correctly and no missing symbol warnings appear - Step 3: Check the client machine memory usage during display load
Memory usage is below 80 percent and no out-of-memory exceptions are logged
How to Reset
To reset: 1) Redeploy the missing graphic or symbol file. 2) Restart the InTouch application. 3) Clear the Wonderware client cache. 4) Verify the display loads correctly on all clients.
