Symptoms

Reverse rotation detection

Possible Causes

  • E5-11 PG origin pulse compensation set improperly
  • PG replaced or motor rotation direction changed
  • Motor driven by external force
  • PG cable noise interference
  • PG cable wiring incorrect or broken
  • F1-05 rotation direction mismatch
  • Magnetic pole position detection failed
  • n8-84 polarity discrimination current too small
  • Initial magnetic pole estimation failed

Troubleshooting Steps

  • Set E5-11 correctly per motor nameplate
  • Perform Z-pulse position self-learning
  • Check motor rotation direction; investigate external force cause
  • Ground PG cable shield
  • Check PG cable wiring/breaks
  • Connect motor U/V/W phases correctly
  • Check U6-57; increase n8-84 if <819
  • Increase n8-84 above factory value
  • For IPM motor: perform high-frequency overlap self-learning
  • Restart; if persists, replace PG card or PG

How to Reset

Reset by: 1) Correct the fault condition. 2) Press RESET button on operator panel. 3) Verify fault does not recur.
