Yokogawa Centum Error Code Y012

Yokogawa SCADA Minor Data

Model: Centum | Code: Y012

Applicable Systems
Centum

Symptoms

The Centum reports an EEPROM fault. Parameter data stored in the non-volatile memory failed verification, indicating corruption.

Possible Causes

  • EEPROM write cycle interrupted by power loss
  • EEPROM cell degradation due to excessive write cycles
  • Electrical noise corrupting data during the EEPROM write operation

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. Step 1: Reload the default parameters and reconfigure the drive settings
Parameters are restored to known-good values
  2. Step 2: Save the parameters to EEPROM and verify the write operation
    EEPROM write completes without error
  3. Step 3: If the error recurs, the EEPROM chip may be defective requiring drive replacement
New drive stores parameters without errors

How to Reset

To reset: Reload and re-save parameters, then cycle power and restart.
