Symptoms
The PLC reports an initialization fault. The drive self-test or boot sequence detected an error during power-on.
Possible Causes
- Firmware corruption preventing successful boot
- Internal memory check failure during self-test
- Hardware component failure detected during initialization
Troubleshooting Steps
- Step 1: Power cycle the drive to retry the initialization sequence
Drive initializes successfully on retry - Step 2: If the error persists, reload the firmware via the service port
Firmware reload completes and drive boots - Step 3: If hardware is defective, replace the drive unit
New unit initializes without errors
How to Reset
To reset: Power cycle the drive; if persistent, reload firmware or replace.
