Symptoms
Shorted compressor contact. The compressor contactor has shorted and must be replaced.
Possible Causes
- Contactor contacts welded together
- Contactor coil shorted
Troubleshooting Steps
- Step 1: Check the contactor for welded contacts
Contacts are welded shut - Step 2: Replace the contactor with the correct rating
New contactor operates normally
How to Reset
To reset: Replace the shorted contactor, then reset the controller.
