Case CX210 Excavator Error Code E7001

Case Heavy Equipment Critical Engine

Model: CX210 Excavator | Code: E7001

Applicable Systems
CX210 Excavator

Symptoms

Engine oil pressure warning at idle; pressure normal above 1200 RPM.

Possible Causes

  • Worn main bearings increasing clearance at low-speed low-pressure condition.
  • Oil pick-up tube O-ring leaking causing aeration at idle.
  • Oil pressure regulator spring fatigued and weak.

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. Step 1: Measure oil pressure at 800 RPM with mechanical gauge.
    Pressure ≥ 138 kPa (20 psi) at 800 RPM.
  2. Step 2: Remove oil pan and inspect pick-up tube O-ring.
O-ring pliable and seated; no cracks or compression set.
  3. Step 3: Compare regulator spring free length to new part.
Length within 2 mm of new spring specification.

How to Reset

Replace main bearings if clearance excessive; replace pick-up O-ring or regulator spring; refill oil.

Common Replacement Parts

  • Oil Pick-up O-Ring 1542919C1: Oil Pick-up O-Ring 1542919C1
  • Pressure Regulator Spring 1542920C1: Pressure Regulator Spring 1542920C1
