Symptoms
The generator set reports a start failure. The engine failed to start within the allotted cranking time.
Possible Causes
- Battery voltage too low for cranking
- Fuel supply to the injectors insufficient
- Starter motor failure

- Step 1: Check the battery voltage during cranking
Voltage is adequate for starting - Step 2: Verify fuel supply to the injection pump
Fuel is available at the correct pressure - Step 3: Test the starter motor operation
Starter cranks the engine correctly
How to Reset
To reset: Resolve the start failure cause, then attempt restart.
