Symptoms
The air conditioner reports an indoor coil temperature sensor fault. The indoor heat exchanger temperature sensor is malfunctioning.
Possible Causes
- Sensor element drifted or failed
- Sensor position shifted from the coil surface
- Wiring or connector corrosion
Troubleshooting Steps
- Step 1: Test the sensor resistance against the temperature chart
Reading is within specification - Step 2: Verify the sensor is properly attached to the coil
Sensor makes good thermal contact - Step 3: Replace the sensor if it is out of range
New sensor reads correctly
How to Reset
To reset: Replace the faulty sensor, then clear the fault.
