Symptoms
The air conditioner reports an outdoor coil temperature sensor fault. The outdoor heat exchanger sensor is malfunctioning.
Possible Causes
- Sensor element drifted from aging
- Sensor wiring damaged from environmental exposure
- Connector corroded from moisture
Troubleshooting Steps
- Step 1: Test the sensor at the current outdoor temperature
Resistance matches the chart value - Step 2: Inspect the wiring for damage
Wiring is intact - Step 3: Clean or replace the corroded connector
Connection is secure
How to Reset
To reset: Replace the faulty sensor, then clear the fault.
