Symptoms
The air conditioner reports a room temperature sensor fault. The indoor unit room temperature sensor is reading incorrectly.
Possible Causes
- Thermistor element drifted from calibration
- Sensor wiring damaged or connector loose
- Sensor element open or shorted
Troubleshooting Steps
- Step 1: Test the thermistor resistance at the current temperature
Resistance matches the manufacturer chart - Step 2: Check the sensor wiring and connector
Wiring is intact and connector is secure - Step 3: Replace the faulty sensor if out of specification
New sensor reads correctly
How to Reset
To reset: Replace the faulty sensor, then clear the fault from the controller.
