Dornier Dornier Weaving Machine Error Code D006

Dornier Textile Major Fabric

Model: Dornier Weaving Machine | Code: D006

Applicable Systems
Dornier Weaving Machine

Symptoms

The Dornier weaving machine displays alarm D006, indicating a fabric edge or weave fault. The fabric selvedge or edge formation is not correct, causing curled edges, gabs, or width variation.

Possible Causes

  • Temple or fabric spreader is worn or misaligned, not holding the fabric width at the fell
  • Edge warp yarns are breaking due to excessive tension from the temple or a worn guide
  • Take-up roller is slipping, causing the fabric to bunch at the edge and distort the weave pattern

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. Step 1: Inspect the temple and fabric spreader for wear and alignment
Temple rings are intact and the spreader is aligned with the fell line
  2. Step 2: Check the edge warp yarn tension and the temple guide for wear
Edge yarn tension is correct and the temple guide is smooth with no burrs or wear
  3. Step 3: Verify the take-up roller is gripping the fabric evenly across the full width
Take-up roller surface is clean and the fabric moves evenly with no bunching at the edges

How to Reset

To reset: 1) Replace worn temple rings or realign the spreader. 2. Adjust edge yarn tension and replace guides. 3. Clean or replace the take-up roller. 4. Press RESET. 5. Verify correct edge formation in a test run.
