Symptoms
The FRENIC reports a battery fault. The backup battery voltage is below the minimum threshold, risking parameter loss during power-off.
Possible Causes
- Backup battery depleted due to normal end of life
- Battery contact or holder corrosion causing poor connection
- Battery was never installed or was removed during maintenance
Troubleshooting Steps
- Step 1: Check the battery voltage with a multimeter in the drive
Voltage is below the minimum threshold - Step 2: Replace the battery with the manufacturer-specified type
New battery has correct voltage - Step 3: Verify the battery holder and contacts are clean
Contacts are clean and battery is secure
How to Reset
To reset: Replace the backup battery, then clear the fault and restart.
