Symptoms
The printing press reports a dampening solution flow anomaly. The fountain solution flow rate is outside the normal operating range.
Possible Causes
- Fountain solution pump filter clogged
- Dampening system solenoid valve malfunction
- Fountain solution level in the tank low
Troubleshooting Steps
- Step 1: Check the fountain solution level in the supply tank
Tank is filled above the minimum level - Step 2: Inspect and clean the pump filter
Filter is clean and flow is restored - Step 3: Test the dampening solenoid valve operation
Valve opens and closes correctly
How to Reset
To reset: Restore correct fountain solution flow, then clear the alarm.
