Symptoms
The printing press reports a plate temperature anomaly. The plate cylinder temperature is outside the normal operating range.
Possible Causes
- Plate cylinder cooling channel blocked
- Temperature sensor calibration drift
- Extended high-speed operation generating excess heat
Troubleshooting Steps
- Step 1: Check the plate cylinder cooling water circuit
Cooling water flows at the specified rate - Step 2: Verify the temperature sensor reading against a reference
Sensor reads accurately - Step 3: Reduce press speed if temperature remains elevated
Temperature stabilizes within range
How to Reset
To reset: Restore normal plate temperature, then clear the alarm.
