Symptoms
The AKD reports a speed limit fault. The commanded or actual speed exceeded the configured maximum speed threshold.
Possible Causes
- Speed command value exceeds the configured speed limit parameter
- External analog speed reference exceeding the maximum scale
- Speed limit parameter set incorrectly for the application
Troubleshooting Steps
- Step 1: Check the speed command source for values exceeding the limit
Speed command is within the configured limit - Step 2: Verify the speed limit parameter is set correctly for the motor
Speed limit matches the motor rated speed - Step 3: Adjust the analog reference scaling if the input exceeds range
Analog reference is scaled to the correct range
How to Reset
To reset: Reduce the speed below the limit, then reset the fault.
