Applicable Systems
AKD
Symptoms
The AKD reports an encoder signal abnormality. The encoder feedback signal shows noise, missing pulses, or incorrect pattern.
Possible Causes
- Encoder signal cable routing near high-power lines picking up noise
- Encoder cable shielding broken or improperly grounded
- Encoder resolution or output type mismatch with drive configuration
Troubleshooting Steps
- Step 1: Check the encoder cable routing away from motor power cables
Cable routing is separated from power lines - Step 2: Verify the cable shielding is continuous and properly grounded
Shielding is intact and grounded at one end - Step 3: Confirm the encoder output type matches the drive input configuration
Encoder type and drive setting match
How to Reset
To reset: Fix the encoder signal quality, then reset and restart.
