Symptoms
The printing press reports an impression cylinder pressure anomaly. The pressure between plate and blanket cylinders is outside specification.
Possible Causes
- Cylinder packing thickness incorrect
- Bearer ring wear changing the pressure relationship
- Pressure setting parameter out of range
Troubleshooting Steps
- Step 1: Verify the cylinder packing thickness
Packing matches the substrate specification - Step 2: Inspect bearer rings for wear
Rings are within wear tolerance - Step 3: Check and correct the pressure setting
Pressure is within the specified range
How to Reset
To reset: Adjust the impression pressure, then clear the alarm.
