Symptoms
The printing press reports a plate cylinder foreign object. A foreign object is detected on the plate surface.
Possible Causes
- Paper dust or lint on the plate
- Ink skin or dried ink particles
- Fountain solution contamination leaving residue
Troubleshooting Steps
- Step 1: Inspect the plate surface with a magnifier
Plate surface is clean - Step 2: Clean the plate carefully with plate cleaner
Plate is clean without damage - Step 3: Check the fountain solution and ink for contamination
Solutions are clean and fresh
How to Reset
To reset: Clean the plate, then clear the alarm and resume printing.
