Symptoms
The printing press reports an ink duct motor fault. An ink duct key motor is not responding to commands.
Possible Causes
- Motor winding failure or open circuit
- Motor drive fuse blown
- Mechanical binding from dried ink
Troubleshooting Steps
- Step 1: Test the ink duct motor winding resistance
Resistance is within specification - Step 2: Check the motor drive fuse and circuit
Fuse is good and circuit is intact - Step 3: Clean the ink duct mechanism of dried ink
Mechanism moves freely
How to Reset
To reset: Replace the faulty motor or repair the circuit, then clear the alarm.
