Symptoms
The boiler reports a feed water pump overload. The feed water pump motor has exceeded rated current.
Possible Causes
- Pump mechanical jam from bearing seizure
- Pump discharge blocked or restricted
- Motor bearing failure
Troubleshooting Steps
- Step 1: Inspect the pump for jamming
Pump rotates freely - Step 2: Check the pump discharge path
Discharge is unobstructed - Step 3: Inspect the motor bearings
Bearings are in good condition
How to Reset
To reset: Clear the overload, then reset the motor protection.
