Symptoms
The signal is intermittent, dropping out or spiking sporadically. The fault may not be present at all times.
Possible Causes
- Loose or corroded connector causing intermittent contact
- Wiring harness flexing causing momentary opens
- Sensor internal intermittent failure
Troubleshooting Steps
- Step 1: Wiggle test wiring harness and connectors while monitoring signal
Signal drops out during test - Step 2: Inspect connectors for corrosion and loose pins
Connector repaired or replaced - Step 3: Replace sensor if intermittent operation persists
Signal stable after replacement
How to Reset
To reset: Clear the DTC after securing all connections and verifying stable signal.
