Symptoms
The drive does not respond to any commands. The HMI displays a processor error message. The power stage is immediately disabled and the motor coasts to a stop.
Possible Causes
- CPU processor hardware failure
- Internal firmware corruption
- Severe EMI disruption to the control board
- Power supply instability to the control electronics
Troubleshooting Steps
- Step 1: Power-cycle the drive by removing and reapplying 24V DC control power
Drive re-initializes; if E-0000 persists, the control board is defective - Step 2: Check the 24V DC control power supply voltage with a multimeter
Voltage must be within 20.4-28.8V DC range - Step 3: Verify shielding and grounding of all signal cables connected to the drive
All shields properly terminated at the ground busbar - Step 4: If the error persists after power cycle, replace the control module
New control module initializes without error
How to Reset
1) Remove 24V DC control power for 30 seconds. 2) Reapply power and observe startup sequence. 3) If E-0000 returns immediately, the control board has a hardware defect and must be replaced. 4) After replacement, reload all parameter sets from IndraWorks AS engineering tool.
Common Replacement Parts
- R911319000: IndraDrive control module (verify exact part by drive model) (Match firmware version and hardware revision before ordering)
Frequently Asked Questions
- Q: What causes E-0000 on Rexroth IndraDrive?
A processor-level hardware fault. The internal CPU has detected an unrecoverable error. This is typically caused by component failure, firmware corruption, or severe electrical disturbance.
- Q: Can I reset E-0000 without replacing parts?
Try a complete power cycle first. If the error returns immediately upon power-up, the control board hardware is defective and must be replaced.
