Street Crane Overhead Crane
Symptoms
The Street Crane system displays alarm ST002, indicating travel limit switch triggered. The crane trolley or bridge has reached the end of its permitted travel range, activating a safety limit switch.
Possible Causes
- Crane travel exceeded the programmed soft limit due to a deceleration ramp that is too slow
- Hard limit switch is triggered because the soft limit deceleration failed to stop the crane in time
- Limit switch position has shifted or the actuator cam has loosened, causing the switch to trigger early or late
Troubleshooting Steps
- Step 1: Check the crane position against the programmed soft limit settings
Crane decelerates and stops before reaching the hard limit under normal operation - Step 2: Verify the soft limit deceleration ramp time and distance
Deceleration ramp stops the crane within the calculated distance from the soft limit to the hard limit - Step 3: Inspect the hard limit switch and actuator cam for position and security
Switch is correctly positioned and the cam is securely fastened at the correct location
How to Reset
To reset: 1) Reverse the crane away from the limit switch. 2) Adjust the soft limit deceleration. 3. Reposition and secure the limit switch and cam. 4. Press RESET. 5. Verify the crane stops at the soft limit.
