Applicable Systems
Street Crane Overhead Crane
Symptoms
The Street Crane system displays alarm ST010, indicating eccentric load detection. The load being lifted is not centered under the hook, causing the crane to detect an imbalance that could lead to load swing or tipping.
Possible Causes
- Load is not slung centered under the hook, causing the center of gravity to be offset from the hook block
- Sling configuration does not match the load geometry, causing the load to tilt when lifted
- Load cell or tilt sensor has drifted, causing the system to report an imbalance when the load is actually centered
Troubleshooting Steps
- Step 1: Check the sling configuration and the load center of gravity relative to the hook block
Load is centered under the hook with the center of gravity directly below the hook - Step 2: Verify the sling angles and lengths are correct for the load geometry
Sling angles are at 60 degrees or steeper and all slings are of equal length for a symmetric load - Step 3: Calibrate or replace the load cell or tilt sensor
Sensor readings match a known centered load within 2 percent of the rated capacity
How to Reset
To reset: 1) Resling the load with the center of gravity under the hook. 2. Adjust sling configuration. 3. Recalibrate or replace sensors. 4. Press RESET. 5. Verify the load lifts level without tilt alarm.
