Wilo Circulator Pump
Symptoms
The Wilo pump displays alarm W007, indicating a leak in the piping system. System pressure is dropping or liquid is visible at pipe joints, risking pump cavitation and process loss.
Possible Causes
- Pipe joint gaskets degraded or improperly installed
- Pipe corrosion or erosion at bends and fittings
- Thermal expansion causing joint stress and leakage
Troubleshooting Steps
- Step 1: Visually inspect all piping joints for wetness or drips
All joints are dry with no visible leakage - Step 2: Pressurize the system and monitor pressure decay
System pressure holds steady within allowable drop rate - Step 3: Check pipe supports and expansion loops for proper function
Piping is properly supported and expansion devices are free to move
How to Reset
To reset: 1) Tighten or replace leaking gaskets. 2) Repair corroded pipe sections. 3) Verify proper pipe support and expansion allowances. 4) Restart and monitor.
