Symptoms
The compressor reports an oil separator clogged. The oil separator element has excessive pressure drop.
Possible Causes
- Separator element saturated with oil and contaminants
- Element at end of service life
- Oil carry-over rate too high overwhelming the separator
Troubleshooting Steps
- Step 1: Measure pressure drop across the separator
Drop exceeds the replacement threshold - Step 2: Replace the oil separator element
New element is installed correctly - Step 3: Verify oil carry-over is within normal range
Oil consumption is within specification
How to Reset
To reset: Replace the oil separator, then clear the alarm.
