Symptoms
The PLC reports a communication timeout. No valid data was received from the network within the configured timeout period.
Possible Causes
- Network cable disconnected or damaged
- Host controller stopped transmitting or crashed
- Network traffic congestion causing delayed responses
Troubleshooting Steps
- Step 1: Check the network cable connection and continuity
Cable is connected and intact - Step 2: Verify the host controller is running and transmitting data
Host controller is active and sending data - Step 3: Increase the communication timeout if network latency is high
Timeout accommodates the actual latency
How to Reset
To reset: Restore the communication link, then reset the fault.
