Symptoms
The boiler reports a high steam pressure alarm. The steam pressure exceeds the maximum safe limit.
Possible Causes
- Burner output too high for current demand
- Pressure switch setpoint drift
- Steam demand suddenly reduced
Troubleshooting Steps
- Step 1: Check the steam pressure gauge
Pressure is within the safe range - Step 2: Verify the burner firing rate control
Burner modulates to maintain pressure - Step 3: Verify the pressure switch calibration
Switch activates at the correct pressure
How to Reset
To reset: Lower the steam pressure, then reset the safety circuit.
