Symptoms
Shutdown - Stator fault. The alternator stator has a fault and the generator has shut down.
Possible Causes
- Stator winding short circuit
- Stator winding insulation breakdown
Troubleshooting Steps
- Step 1: Check the stator winding resistance and insulation
Winding is shorted or insulation is degraded - Step 2: Replace or rewind the stator
New stator operates normally
How to Reset
To reset: Repair or replace the stator, then reset the controller.
