Symptoms
An EEPROM write operation failed. The PLC cannot save data to non-volatile memory.
Possible Causes
- EEPROM chip reached its write cycle limit
- Write operation interrupted by power loss
Troubleshooting Steps
- Step 1: Retry the write operation after a power cycle
If write fails again, EEPROM is worn out - Step 2: Check if the data can be stored in alternative memory
Alternative storage may be needed
How to Reset
To reset: Power-cycle the PLC and retry the write. If it fails, the EEPROM is defective.
