Symptoms
The welding system reports a gas valve fault. The shielding gas solenoid valve is not operating.
Possible Causes
- Solenoid valve coil burned out
- Valve inlet blocked or restricted
- Gas supply pressure too low
Troubleshooting Steps
- Step 1: Test the solenoid valve coil for continuity
Coil shows correct resistance - Step 2: Inspect the valve inlet for blockage
Valve is clear and gas flows freely - Step 3: Verify the shielding gas supply pressure
Pressure meets the minimum requirement
How to Reset
To reset: Repair or replace the gas valve, then clear the fault.
