Symptoms
The welding system reports high cooling water temperature. The torch cooling water exceeds the safe limit.
Possible Causes
- Cooling water radiator or heat exchanger fouled
- Cooling fan for the radiator failed
- Extended high-amperage welding exceeding cooling capacity
Troubleshooting Steps
- Step 1: Inspect the cooling radiator for fouling
Radiator is clean and transfers heat effectively - Step 2: Verify the cooling fan operation
Fan runs and delivers adequate airflow - Step 3: Allow the system to cool or reduce the duty cycle
Temperature drops below the threshold
How to Reset
To reset: Lower the cooling water temperature, then clear the fault.
